TONE RIVER FIELD, IBARAGI PREF. -- We held the Kanto Open Quail Championship on January 8 at a new Tone River Field.
This field was borrowed from a nearby farmer. It has been maintained since last summer.
The support of several persons contributed to the success of the trial. Thank you for your help and cooperation
Thank you to the judges who had to preside in very cold weather conditions. The temperature all the day was 20 . It snowed the night before.
THE WINNERS
Judges Shigetoku Ike and Tamotsu Matsumura made the following announcement:
2022 new champion was Blue Elhew Tango, pointer female owned and handled by Mr. Minoru Nagao at Aomori Pref., Japan. Runner-up champion was Flair Comanche Chee, owned and handled by Mrs. Hiroko Sugai of Yamagata Pref., Japan.
Blue Elhew Tango was loosed at 9:50 a.m. She reached well forward and we couldn't see her for a while. But she was back and had three beautiful finished finds, with a good finish.
Runner-up Flair Comanche Chee was started at 12:10 p.m. She had a good, forward effort and scored a quick find was at 12 which the gallery enjoyed. She finished well with a total two finds.
