Result: Hoffman Amateur Field Trial Club

The 2023 running of the Hoffman Amateur took place on December 8-10, 2023, at the Hoffman field trial grounds. This year's renewal was judged by Tony Bingham of Fallston, North Carolina, and Cliff Monroe of Boiling Springs, North Carolina. Both men have known great success in the field trial world, Tony as a pro and Cliff as an amateur. Tony and Cliff rode hard and were attentive to every entry in the Derby and Amateur All-Age.

The Derby winners were Chimney Creek Bud (PM), handled by Will Herring; taking second was Mac's Slim Jim (PM), handled by Tim McClurg; and finishing third was Miss Lucille (PF), handled by Gary Miller.

The Amateur All-Age winners were Woodville's Saddle Tramp (ESM), handled by Carl Owens; second place went to K H Game Train (PM), handled by Scott Griffin; and rounding out the placements in third was Southpoint's Speedy G (PM) handled by Whitley Stephenson.

The Hoffman Amateur Field Trial Club wishes to thank each entry for their continued support of this trial year after year. Special thanks go to our judges, Tony Bingham and Cliff Monroe, and Randy and Marcia Bradshaw, for all they do to make this trial happen. We couldn't have done it without them! Also, thank you to Chad Adams for his help and contribution! As always, thank you to Debbie Bonner for her delicious cakes! And last but not least, thanks to Greg Blair and Purina for their continued support of this and many other field trials throughout our sport!
