The North Missouri Field Trial Association hosted an NBHA trial at the White Oak Ranch, near Edina, Missouri, on the weekend of January 27. White Oak Ranch is a blend of cattle and row crops. This diversity of terrain and cover provides an excellent test to measure a dog's ability to hunt and find birds. A special thanks goes to Corey Huchteman, owner and operator, who allowed us the opportunity to host a trial prior to the February calving season. We did battle some mud and wintery conditions, but all those who participated brought their "A" game and didn't let Old Man Winter stop the party.
Co-chairs for this trial were Tim Penn and Kevin Western. Special thanks to Danny Martin for helping drive the dog wagon. The judicial team consisted of Jack Glover, Danny Draffen, and Tim Penn. A big thanks for their dedication and attention to the job at hand, even though they battled the elements for the entire day. Big thanks to our NBHA sponsors, Purina Pro Plan and Gun Dog Supply, for their support. Other NBHA sponsors who support the NBHA throughout the year are Garmin, Mule Brand Clothes, OnX Hunts, and Gun Dog Central.
Thanks to all who participated and made this a great event. The following are the winners.
