The North Missouri Field Trial Association hosted a weekend horseback field trial September 28-29 at the Sportsman Grounds near Grovespring, Missouri. The stakes were both open and amateur. We did not have a large draw but had a ton of bird work and great performances.

The weather cooperated, and the grounds were in good shape. There were birds moved in almost every brace. We want to thank all who participated, and a big thank you to Danny Draffin, Howard Burbach, and Tony King for sitting in the judges' saddles and giving the dogs their full attention. We had a steak bar-b-que Saturday evening, and everyone had a good time. Tony King jumped in and helped wherever needed, and we would like to give him a big thank you.

It is the work and participation of all that help make up a great event. The participation and dedication of the good folks who come to these trials make all the hard work worthwhile.
