The weather was not very cooperative with rain all day Friday and Saturday. Sunday we still had overcast but at least we were a little drier. We had a lot of scratches so we finished about 11 a.m. on Sunday. Had several new people come to the event so that was fun to meet new friends. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves despite the weather and mud.
We had 97 dogs in the event. Although we did end up with 37 scratches. We had breakfast and lunch. And dinner in the clubhouse on Friday and Saturday evening with about 25 people each evening. Many thanks to all who supported the kitchen. This helps with the expenses of the trial. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves despite the weather and mud.
Special thank you to the following people for the work they performed at the event. Don Eck took care of bird planting, thank you Will Kitts for the use of your ATV. Gunners: Steve Zozzaro, Brian Deitz, Pat Dady and Dick Cullerton.
Dick Cullerton and John Naughton handled the line marshal duty. Stephanie Snyder, Muffy Cullerton for the snack and dessert donations. Muffy Cullerton and Stephanie and Jane Lehr for the kitchen assistance.
Our judges for enduring the very wet long hourse in the saddle. Will Kitts, Doug Welsh, Troy Horverter, Robert Spillman, Roger Dvorak, Ken Huyser. Ed Shupp and Stephanie Snyder for taking Russ Bigus's place when work called him in for the weekend.
Thank you David for bringing the horses for us on Saturday and Sunday. Always having the horses ready for the judges, handlers, and gallery so we had no delays.
Congratulations to the winners of the Revolving Trophies.
