The Rock Springs FTC held its fall trial on the beautiful Grounds near Eskridge, Kan. The grounds are multiple courses of equal type of terrain for all the participants. Rolling Flint Hills with plumb thickets, Sumac, draws, rolling prairie with ample water as there are many natural springs and ponds on the courses. With Views as far as your eyes will let you see from the tops of the hills. A great place to turn a dog loose where they can roll but must handle to get them through.

I want to thank our landowners for without their support and graciousness to let us run across these grounds none of this would be possible. Our sponsor Nutri Source, they have been a long supporter to the KFTCA and is greatly appreciated. The Judges that filled the seat for 2 days of beautiful weather Barry Ward and Greg Gibson Open Shooting Dogs and Bud Moore and Rich Tremblay open derby. They gave their full attention to all the participants and their dogs, which I as the Field Marshal greatly appreciate.

First in the Open Shooting Dog Fast Money (Molly) pointer female, owned and handled Bud Moore, had a fancy forward race to the front with 6 finds, a stop to flush and going away at time. Second Chelsea's Thunderstruck (Thor) pointer male, owned by Bob Searcy, handled by Justin Crook, had a forward moderate race with 5 finds and going away at time. Third My Buddy Brody (Brody) pointer male, owned and handled by Bob Lais, had 2 finds a couple backs and a forward race
First in the Open Derby, Wreak Havoc (RHIP) pointer female, owned and handled by Scott Hadley, had a nice forward race with 4 finds and going away at time. Second High Enchantress (EVO) pointer female owned and handled by Scott Hadley, had 1 find and a nice race. Third Willow Creek Pretty Boy (Buddy) setter male, owned and handled by Greg Gibson, had a moderate race very fancy on the ground.
