Keystone Open Shooting Dog Championship
Unseasonably warm and dry conditions took a toll on all the animals. Torn pads, scenting conditions, just to name a few. Some would say the luck of the draw. I like to think that every dog has his day. Today these two rose to the top. Champion Miller's Locked and Loaded, owned by; Bill and Muriel Primm and Handled by; George Tracy, broke away in the 17th brace. With temperatures topping 91 during this brace, he showed what true heart is. He covered every edge scoring seven finds at 15, 21, 26, 29, 35, 40, 48 and a back at 32. He sailed the edges always showing to the front. What a team handler and dog captured this title. Runner-up Champion Bully Rock, owned by Ernie and Karen Saniga and handled by; Mike Tracy, ran in the 10th brace. Losing his brace mate early, Rock had the course all to himself. He ran a forward race scoring finds at 5, 16, 24, 40, and 45. Mike and Rock claimed the runner-up title. Also making a strong run for the title were Jolene Jolene, Mike Tracy. Pinestraw Sweet Tea, Jeanette Tracy. Double Deuce Zeke, Mark Hughes.
