Mr. Gary Fuller has allowed us to conduct this trial on his property for a number of years. His contribution to our club and the field trial sport is greatly appreciated. Nestl Purina PetCare again sponsored us. Their cooperation and the support from their representative, Mr. Greg Blair, is appreciated.

Club members groomed the grounds, judged, planted birds, and performed the numerous other tasks that go with hosting a field trial. Thank you to our members for making the trial a success.

Judges for the Amateur Derby were Tom Hennes and Bucky Street. All of the placed entries had good birdwork and solid ground application. First place was awarded to Southern Sweets Lane, owned by Lance Servais and Brian Peterson; second place was Southern Shadows T-Bird, owned by Lance Servais and Brian Peterson; and third place went to Rentz's Catch A Buzz, owned by Joe and Tricia Rentz.

The Amateur Shooting Dog had 28 entries for judges Tom Hennes and Bucky Steet to evaluate. First place was awarded to Erin's Mason Man owned and handled by Roger Key. Mason Man ran a wide, forward-shooting dog race with flawless birdwork. Second place went to Southern Shadows T Rex. Owned by Lance Servais and handled by Brian Peterson, Rex is no stranger to the podium. He ran his usual strong ground race with solid birdwork. Third place was Pineywood's Legacy handled by Darren Hendley. Will was strong throughout his brace and also had solid birdwork. Our judges were attentive to each participant and consistent with their placements. BAMA Quail members are very appreciative of their efforts.

Thank you to our participants for once again supporting the BAMA Quail Club. We are already making plans for our 25th year, so mark your calendars for the first weekend in December 2024. Thank you again from the BAMA Quail group to participants, judges, and sponsors.
