Dan Bateman Masters Amateur All-Age: Blue Knight with Woody Watson, Touch's Lone Dominator with Kent Cantrell, and Just Sayin with Mike Moses, joined by participants.

The Southern Field Trial Club tradition continued as they hosted their Amateur Masters stakes in early November. Thanks to the members and landowner Eddie Sholar, Burnt Branch Plantation in Ochlocknee, Georgia, was again the venue for this respected event. The three one-hour courses were in excellent condition, and a big tip of the hat goes to Eddie, Greg Shepherd, and Kojac Wynn for their committed efforts. Carefully blocked piney woods and large fields offer plenty of opportunity for a dog to display its talents.
Tim Moore and his wife, Polly, and Woody Watson devoted themselves and their efforts to a successful trial. All involved made up a warm group of people that ensured a great event. There was tasty food and fun social times.

The Club is grateful for all the judges' time in the saddle. Jesse Graffam and Eddie Sholar judged the Gene Brooks Amateur Derby. Randy Marsh and Gary Futch evaluated the Dan Bateman Amateur All-Age. Thanks are also extended to Justin Burson and Cliff Flowers for officiating the Roy Clark Amateur Shooting Dog stake.
Game was plentiful, and dogs had ample opportunity to make bird contact on all three one-hour courses. The placements follow.
