Result: Region 13 Amateur Shooting Dog Championship

The Region 13 Amateur Shooting Dog Championship was run on April 12 and 13, 2025, at Ionia Field Trial Grounds. We had a great entry for the Championship, and a lot of entries were from out of state, which was great to see. Our Region 13 judges were Shawn Kinkelaar and Bill Stewart; both men are very well respected in the field trial community. Again, we thank you.
The winner, Alliwood's Never Say Never, handled by Adam DeLude, ran in the second brace on Day one and had a strong forward race with multiple bird work. The runner-up, Calico's Over The Top, handled by Alex Smith, ran in the fifth brace and had a very strong forward race with multiple bird work. This placement secured Alex's win as Top Amateur Handler.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make this trial possible, including Jim Cipponeri and Jeff Haggis for marshaling every brace, Dick Lipski for bird planting every morning, and Ron Williams for driving the dog wagon. And a big thank you to Kelsey Hajek for the fabulous lunches both days. Also, thank you to the AFTCA for allowing Us to hold the Region 13 Championship. And a big thank you to Purina for their generous support of food; it is always welcomed and appreciated.

We ran a companion Open Derby stake with two entries. Thank you, Kelsey Hajek and Bill Stewart, for judging.
