An exciting start to the year brings new winners to the West Tennessee Field Trial. Each year, competition, food, and fellowship make the four-day trial a success and a lifetime's worth of memories.

Fifty-seven dogs entered and completed these trials--37 pointer males, 12 pointer females, seven setter males, and three setter females.

In keeping with tradition, J. P. Hathcock expertly handled secretarial duties. We would be remiss not to mention an integral part of the WTFTC, Gene Spiotta, our social chairman. Thanks to Hassel & Allison Smith for their delicious and traditional Southern Saturday night fish fry.

Notably missing from this year's amateur trial was our dear friend Gary Brown, who passed away last spring. Gary's widow, Sally, attended in his honor. In Gary's spirit of thankless contribution, newcomers Gailen Cooper and Bradley LaVergne started our new year by providing extra help that was greatly appreciated.
