Another great Shooting Dog Championship is in the books. Sixty dogs were drawn for the 2026 trial. This year, we were fortunate enough to secure two well-qualified judges. Mr. Jeff Gibbons and Mr. Wallace Reichert bring years of experience and knowledge to the table. As always, birds were plentiful, and the property was in an immaculate state. The field trial world is very fortunate to have Mr. Chester Stokes give up a prime week for quail hunting to provide his property and staff for this event. Leroy Griffis, Dakota Hall, and Rylan King make this event flow smoothly. Also, thanks to all of our board members for their support and role in this event, and a special thanks to Tina for providing well-appreciated lunches daily. We also want to thank Purina for their continued support.

There were several good performances. The champion, Faithful, a pointer female handled by Mike Tracy, was produced in the 19th brace. This talented dog is owned by Susan and Roger Duerksen. Faithful ran a consistent, strong forward race and started her bid with a back at 11, followed by finds at 20, 33, 38,47, and an unproductive at 55. Thunder's Wild Agin, a pointer female owned by Doug Swingley and handled by Shawn Kinkelaar, ran in the 11th brace and garnered the runner-up placement. This nice pointer also ran a strong forward race with finds at 16 and 30, and found pointed at pickup.
