The Region 9 Amateur All-Age Championship was held on the grounds about 10 miles outside of Ontario, Oregon, off Moores Hollow Road. This venue offers many benefits, along with all the wild birds. Chukar, Hungarian partridge, and California quail can be found in the sagebrush-covered hills.
Boise Valley Pointing Dog Club would like to thank Jim and Martha Ledington, Phil and Sharon Bowden, Alex Mauck and Kristina Wall, Bill Owen, and all the others who helped to make this trial successful. Without the efforts of all these people, the Amateur All-Age trial would not have been possible. Also, the club thanks the attendees who come each year. The BVPDC would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the landowners, Purina, SportDOG, and the judges for spending the time in the saddle.
The Region 9 Amateur All-Age Championship started on a cool Sunday morning with nine entries. The champion was Mauck's Wyeast Molly, owned and handled by Alex Mauck. This setter had a nice performance. The runner-up was Painted Hank, a pointer with a quality brace, owned and handled by Jim Ledington. The judges were Sergio Velez and Talmage Smedley.
