The Region 6 Amateur All-Age Championship began on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Hell Creek Wildlife Management Area in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. The grounds were in great shape thanks to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.

We were very fortunate to secure these grounds to run this prestigious championship. This year's running was hosted by the Hell Creek Field Trial Club. Judges were Elton Bray and Lowry Strickland of nearby Holly Springs, Mississippi.

We are very thankful for their time and attention given to each competitor. Also, a big thanks to our sponsor, Sportsman's Pride Premium Pet Food, for the ad and gift cards for the winners.
Thirty-four dogs were drawn and came to the line to compete for the championship title, and in the end, Game Star, owned and handled by Dr. Fred Corder, was named champion.
Game Star was credited with five finds and a strong all-age race.

Runner-up honors went to Phillips Linebacker, owned by Nathan Phillips and Orrin Ingram, and handled by Mike Small. Linebacker was credited with seven finds and also ran a strong all-age race. There were many commendable performances and plenty of bird work throughout the running. Thanks to all the owners and handlers who supported this trial.
