MT. VERNON, MO. -- This year's fall trial was a huge success. We filled up two weeks in advance of the deadline. With a couple of cancellations before the drawing, we still had plenty of dogs.

The weather was pretty warm and scenting conditions were not the greatest. We still had plenty of bird work for both days. We had people at the trial representing Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

I would like to thank all friends and family who helped make this weekend a huge success. We had a little setback Sunday and some great friends stepped up to make things continue on track. Rhonda Shepherd, Andy Neria, Craig Hiatt, Emmet Sasser, Lindsey Wagner, thank you all for everything you did.

We had a couple new judges who did a great job. We need to give these people a chance and get new people involved in this sport.
