Jimfork's Black River First in the Amateur Shooting Dog Stake
BOONEVILLE, ARK. -- On March 23 Westark Field Trial Club hosted an NBHA trial at the Blue Mountain venue in Booneville, Ark.

First we would like to give a big thank you to the Arkansas Game and Fish for allowing us to run at Blue Mountain and Purina for their support of field trials.

Though participation in number of people was low, there were plentiful dogs and we had some exciting runs with excellent dog work and a very enjoyable day.

Kenny Snow, last year's Amateur Handler of the Year, had a great trial with numerous wins and placements including a sweep of the Amateur Derby.

We had four dogs compete in the "judgment ceases at flush" division.

We were very fortunate that the weather cooperated as we had hardly gotten the horses and dogs loaded before the lighting and rain arrived.
