The adjacent photo was submitted by R. B. Powell of Lewistown, Pa., who provides horses to many of the field trial clubs in the Keystone State and elsewhere. The photo shows Danny Diehl and his wife Lois with Chetner's Patcheye, winner of the Indiantown Gap Amateur All-Age in the fall of 1965, nearly 54 years ago. Patcheye was owned initially by Chet Ketner of Fleetwood, Pa., from a litter bred by Danny Diehl who soon acquired the dog from Mr. Ketner. Patcheye's win record shows 71 placements; he also sired fourteen winners which won 103 placements.

"Danny was an icon in Region 2 and the Middle Atlantic States," wrote R. B. Powell. "He provided horses for most of the clubs for many years. Danny died March 9, 1979 at age 79."
